- What is a Community Representative?

A Community Representative is a Community Ventures Group independent contractor who exclusively presents and sells Community-online.com's services to businesses, government and not-for-profit organizations.

Community Representatives strive to build strong, meaningful communities while developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and strategic partners.

- Can I join the network if I live outside North America?

Yes! In fact, you may offer Community-online.com's services to entities outside your own country of residence. The Community Representatives program is a true global e-business opportunity.

- Do I need to have Internet knowledge?

The Community Representatives program doesn't require Internet or sales skills, however, a good knowledge and/or experience in both is certainly an asset.

There is no industry or field of expertise that isn't directly (or indirectly) affected by the Internet. Therefore, it's to your advantage to have adequate knowledge about this communication medium whether being a Community Representative or not.

Our ongoing training and resource material will keep you abreast of all matters pertaining to the Internet.

- Is previous sales experience required?

Community Representatives have one thing in common: great passion, knowledge and credibility within the communities they form be it local or global (or both). Whether an educator, business professional, entrepreneur or a public service worker, Community Representatives need no special sales skills. Simply by approaching their circle of influence can result in a very successful venture with the Community Representatives Network.

- Who can I approach as a potential client?

Anyone you know (or don't know) may be a prospective client or partner.  However, at the beginning you may want to approach people and businesses that you know or have a good knowledge about their operations. This will build you confidence and probably result in higher than average success ratios.

- What Community-online.com services will I be selling?

As a Community Representative you will be selling a variety of portal services including content management, directory listing, banner advertising and sponsorship packages to prospective Community-online.com clients and partners.

- Are there any sales quotas?

No. However, goal-setting is a tool that can result in focused efforts, effective time management, proper evaluation and maximum financial returns.

- How and when do I get paid?

Your compensation is a commission based on your personal sales (25%) as well as the total sales generated by your referred Community Representatives (5%).

You will be paid on a monthly basis by check made payable to the individual or company designated as the Community Representative on the contract agreement.

The funds will be in CA$. If the monthly commission is lower than CA$100, commissions will be carried forward until your monthly total exceeds CA$100.

- How do I track my sales?

A commission statement summarizing your earnings will be sent to you along with your monthly check.

- What's the length of the Agreement?

The contract term is one (1) year.

- How can I terminate the Agreement?

At any time, you maintain the right to terminate the Agreement with thirty (30) days prior written notice to Community Ventures Group.

- What is an idemnity clause?

An idemnity clause is a standard legal measure included in a contract to protect each party from any damages or liabilities that may result if the agreement outlined in the contract is violated by either party.

Each party guarantees to defend and hold harmless the other party from any and all losses, liabilities, damages, actions, claims, expenses and costs.
